Details

During the two-day in-person experience you will receive guided hands-on practice on each step of the epoxy table process from the tree to the table.  That includes the mill process, choosing slabs, prepping the wood, creating a mold, pouring the epoxy, surfacing, selecting and applying the perfect finish, and everything in between. We will share all our tips and tricks that we have learned through much trial and error, so that you don’t make the same mistakes.

All the skills will come together as you participate and assist in an epoxy pour for a dining table, then practice sanding and finish techniques on an already cured table, prepped and ready for you to finish.

During the class you will prep and pour your own 12” x 24”  piece.  You leave it with us while it cures, we will plane and send it to you 2 weeks later. . This is your capstone  project to  practice and reinforce all the techniques you learned in our school. Turn it into an end table, charcuterie board, or some other beautiful piece of art.

This school is open to ANYONE. No prior epoxy knowledge is necessary. It is helpful to have some beginner woodworking skills, but this is not required.

Epoxy Table School Includes

  • Two days packed with hands on learning in person

  • Access to teachers, Brit, from Brit’s Table Co, and Nick, from Maverick Sawmill, who have years of experience and knowledge of epoxy to share with you and will answer all your questions.

Reviews and Testimonials

Worth every penny! My goal was to be able to come back from school and make a river table on my own. I have one underway! I greatly appreciate how detailed the instruction was. While basics were solidly covered - it was specific techniques and suggestions from two very experience artisans I found most valuable. My personal workbook, provided by the school, is a lifesaver to reflect back on with regards to the linear order many steps have to be executed. Saves me potential huge headaches. Can’t say enough good things about Brit’s Epoxy Table School!

Two days of FUN! Brit, Nick and AJ are so knowledgeable and eager to share their passion. I had a great knowledge base going into the class and still learned lots. I can’t wait to take the leap from charcuterie boards to tables.

I had the pleasure of photographing #EpoxyTableSchool with Brit’s Table Co and the guys at Maverick Sawmill. It was an absolute blast! The instructors covered everything you could imagine about making an epoxy table, and I learned a ton. I’ve been wanting to make an epoxy table for so long, and now I finally have the confidence to do it.

For those of you questioning whether or not you want to take an Epoxy class, look no further this class has it all. Not only will you learn how to make your epoxy projects, you will have r a ton of fun doing it. Britany and Nick are so willing to share everything they have learned packed into a two day Epoxy Extravaganza. Brit has continued to answered every question I’ve had before, during and after this class. Plus, they are a fun group just to hang with. Don’t question whether or not you will get your monies worth….. you will be rewarded beyond your wildest dreams. Thank you all for allowing me into your little circle of fun for a couple days. I appreciate it so much!

Student’s capstone epoxy projects after surfacing and before sending back to students

As a woodworking hobbyist of several years, I was thrilled with the tour of the mill, including so many details about the process that are important for a quality result. The exposure to newer versions of tools, including new and improved sand paper, is very useful information. While the instruction is led by Brit and Nick, the stories, comments and experiences of the group enriched the experience all the more. This whole time was devoted to the highest quality work, in an atmosphere of cooperative learning and mutual respect regardless of experience.

I signed up for Epoxy Table School because I wanted to make a table. I was skeptical I was going to actually leave knowing how to make a table. I did! Brit, Nick, and AJ were so helpful, patient, and forthcoming with answers to all my crazy questions. I am in the process of making a coffee table and I wouldn’t have had the confidence if I didn’t attend this class. I had a very small leak while pouring the epoxy, but I knew how to deal with it and it turned out great! The people I met in class were so fun too. I usually work alone and it was so nice to bounce ideas off others. They taught me everything I need to know to be confident to make the dining room table I’ve been dreaming I want to make.

Not just a student teacher relationship, but friends. I will be back to buy some of their beautiful wood. AWESOME CLASS by AWESOME PEOPLE!!! Thanks again!
